Floyd Mayweather is an American professional boxer who was born on February 24, 1977, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was actively competing from 1996 to 2015, but he also made a one-off return in 2017. He won 15 world championships in his career, including The Ring in five weight divisions, and a linear championship in four weight classes (twice in welterweight).

As a professional fighter, he is yet to be unbeaten. He is the son of a boxer who brought boxing to him, Floyd Mayweather Sr. His childhood was rough and he and his family had a substance addiction, but later he left drugs and boxed. He was trained as a boxer by his uncle Roger Mayweather. 

Mayweather was an amateur who won a bronze at the 1996 Olympics three US in the featherweight category. Golden Gloves (light flyweight, flyweight, and featherweight championships), and U.S. National Featherweight Championships.  He is also considered the best defensive boxer in history, as well as the most exact pointer since CompuBox's creation, having the highest plus/minus ratio in the recorded boxing history.

Mayweather went into the ring for the final time in 2017 against Conor McGregor. In 10 rounds, he beat the UFC star, and Mayweather bagged $275 million from the fight, as per Forbes. Mayweather finished his career in 2015 on a good note with Manny Pacquiao before he approached McGregor. It was his last challenge.

The fight is said to have generated $600 million in profit. The Bleacher Report said Mayweather earned $180 million for his fight against Pacquiao. In February 2021, Floyd Mayweather is set to return to the ring for an exhibition match against YouTube Star-turned-boxer Logan Paul, the brother of Jake Paul.
