Unlike any prior Games, the Summer Olympics in Tokyo have been really unique. The Tokyo 2020 Olympics, postponed by a year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, were attended by a few spectators and athletes who had to wear masks, be quarantined, and tested daily due to the ongoing coronavirus situation.

Although the Olympics are being held amid a pandemic, they have not been without memorable moments. The initial program was established only before the Games, in March 2020, due to the Games' projected dates of July 24 through August 9, 2020. Although Tokyo 2020 has been postponed, the company's brand name has been kept for marketing purposes.

Fans are prohibited from attending the closing ceremony, just as they were prohibited from attending the opening ceremony under COVID-19 laws. Officials and athletes who are still in Tokyo will attend the event, though. There will be some live moments during the event, even though many of the scenes have been pre-recorded.

Which events are scheduled for the last day of the Olympics?

On Sunday, August 8, the 2020 Olympic Games will come to a conclusion, with volleyball, boxing, and the men's marathon. The men's water polo final will conclude the Tokyo Olympic Games. The Tokyo Olympic Stadium will host the Closing Ceremony once the final goal is netted and the ultimate champion is determined.
