Listed as the team’s WR4, Robinson’s punishment could increase given reports that he was driving over 100 mph — an aggravating factor that may add games to his ban. Shanahan has said the team is trying to get the suspension reduced, but it appears unlikely.

“There’s just steps that you have to continue to hit and I’ll continue to say that Brandon is doing well in his rehab,” GM John Lynch said. “Do we have an exact date right now? For the San Francisco 49ers, putting together a successful NFL season will largely depend on solid preparation in the lead-up. Unfortunately for quarterback <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/brock-purdy">Brock Purdy</a>, he won’t be able to start training camp with two of his key offensive weapons available.


 


In the latest update, the franchise released its list of players on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, which includes wide receivers <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/brandon-aiyuk">Brandon Aiyuk</a> and Ricky Pearsall—both currently recovering from injuries.



Despite these key absences at this stage of training camp, the good news for head coach <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/kyle-shanahan">Kyle Shanahan</a> is that any of the players currently on the PUP list can be activated at any point once they are medically cleared.



In addition to the two wide receivers, four other players were also included on the PUP list: Andre Dillard, Yetur Gross-Matos, Malik Mustapha, and Curtis Robinson. Meanwhile, Ben Bartch and George Odum have been placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list.

Originally, it was expected that Aiyuk was going straight into the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. Now, that might not be needed.



Maiocco added, “Also, from what I understand, is it’s not out of the question that he could be ready Week 1.” Imagine, from being on the PUP list which would sideline him for at least four weeks, to getting close to be ready to go on Week 1.



<h2>Brock Purdy needs Aiyuk bad</h2>



After letting <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/deebo-samuel" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Deebo Samuel</a> go, the receivers’ room on the team is not as loaded as before. Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall are the two best wideouts on the depth chart that are healthy right now. Aiyuk will certainly be an upgrade. However, don’t sleep on Jennings, he is poised for a breakout season.

Prior to last season where he got injured, Aiyuk’s form was very good. He had two 1,000-yard seasons and 15 touchdowns. He was undoubtedly the best receiver on the team, including Deebo Samuel.

“Relationship’s good,” Lynch said. “Brandon’s been here. He had a tough injury. Everyone saw that play against Kansas City. It was crushing for us because Brandon’s such a big part of who we are. Looking back on the Brandon situation, I think every situation that you go through in life, in football, in this job, it’s a learning opportunity. I look at things like that, like, what could we have done differently to have made that a little more seamless?



“Sometimes those things are tough; they can be contentious. There’s things that I learned that, yeah, would we have done some things differently? Brandon and I have had these conversations that — are there things he would have done differently? Absolutely. But one thing, I think, in families, you have little spats, and then you give a big hug at the end, and you work together, and that’s where we’re at.”

<h2>The importance of Aiyuk to the 49ers’ offense</h2>



Both <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/kyle-shanahan">Kyle Shanahan</a> and Brock Purdy understand just how important Brandon Aiyuk is within the team’s offensive scheme — and GM John Lynch made that clear as well, stating that the wide receiver will be a key piece for the Bay Area starting Week 1.


 


“We made a big investment in him,” the GM said. “We’re proud to have him part of our franchise and looking for big things from him. We’re gonna let him get right before we get him back on that field, but he’s an important part of this team.“

NFL News: John Lynch delivers important message about one of Brock Purdy’s key weapons on the 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers will look to turn around the disappointing image they presented last season in the NFL, and to do so, they will need to have their entire roster available and in peak physical condition. Last year, much was said about <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/brandon-aiyuk">Brandon Aiyuk</a>’s future, but he ultimately secured his presence with the team, and John Lynch is thrilled to have him on the roster.


 


In a recent conversation with the press, the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/san-francisco-49ers">49ers</a>‘ General Manager addressed the unique situation of the wide receiver, acknowledging that he had received multiple calls to consider the possibility of parting ways with the former Arizona State standout.



“There’s probably spillover from last year when we were going through his contract and a number of teams became interested in Brandon,” John Lynch said, via ESPN’s Nick Wagoner. 



“People called, you always take calls from folks, but we’ve always been interested in Brandon being part of the Niners. We made that decision when we signed him. It’s good to hear that he’s tracking well with his progress. He’s working really hard to do so, and I expect fully that Aiyuk will be a part of us moving forward,” he finally concluded.

“There are no regrets,” Lynch said on signing a four year contract extension with Aiyuk, via NBC Sports Bay Area. “We love Brandon Aiyuk as a football player. We did when we drafted him. We’re excited to move forward with him.”



<h2>Aiyuk’s future in the Bay Area</h2>



In recent hours, rumors regarding a potential departure of Brandon Aiyuk began to gain traction. However, according to <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl">NFL</a> insider Adam Schefter, the franchise has dismissed these rumors.



“49ers owe WR Brandon Aiyuk a $22.85 million bonus if he’s on their roster Tuesday, April 1. Once the 49ers pay that bonus, any trade talks for Aiyuk would be off, and he would be expected to spend the 2025 season in San Francisco. So Tuesday looms as Aiyuk’s unofficial trade deadline, and no deal currently is expected by then,” Schefter reported via @AdamSchefter.


 


The recent departure of Deebo Samuel to the Commanders could have marked the beginning of a significant exodus from <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/kyle-shanahan">Kyle Shanahan</a>’s team. However, it now seems that won’t be the case, and Brock Purdy will be able to rely on a key player in his offense.
