<p>The30 lowest-ranked teams as of July 16 will be divided into 5 pots. The 6 teams with the higher ranking <strong>(El Salvador, Canada, Curaçao, Panama, Haiti, and Trinidad and Tobago) </strong>will be placed in groups A to F, respectively, while the remaining teams will be split into 5 pots for the Draw.</p>
<p>Each team will play 4 games in the first round, 2 home and 2 away. As we mentioned before,USA, <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/soccer/Players-that-will-be-Mexicos-best-in-Qatar-2022-20200413-0001.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mexico</a>, Costa Rica, Jamaica,Honduras<strong> (the five highest-ranked Concacaf teams</strong>), will skip the first phaseand go directly to the final round of the qualifiers.</p>

<p>This past week there was another rumor in the <strong>Inter Miami</strong> world, one of the many rumors that we will be hearing for the next couple of months until the club finally signs their top world football star they’ve been searching for. But this rumor is more significant than the other ones for one main reason: this player is only 28 years old and is still in his prime.</p>
<p>If you guessed <strong>James Rodríguez</strong> then you guessed correctly, the Colombian,<strong> Real Madrid </strong>and <strong>Bayern Munich</strong> number 10 is rumored to be the one player that <strong>David Beckham </strong>is trying to lure to the beaches and warm weather of South Florida. As an Inter Miami fan it would be a dream come true if a player like James Rodríguez came to play for us.</p>

<p>Yes, we’re all very aware that he will be by far the hardest player to sign from amongst the other players that have been linked to be coming to Miami (<strong>Edinson Cavani, Cesc Fàbregas, David Silva, Luis Suárez and Luka Modric</strong>) mainly because he’s only 28 years old and the other players mentioned are passed 32 years of age, but he would be the best option for the team, he would give the team a whole lot more years than the other rumored players.</p>
<p>There are some Inter Miami fans that don’t like the idea of James Rodríguez joining our squad, many say that he’s not a caliber player, some say that he’s constantly injured, or that he’s too lazy of a player. <strong>Some say that it will be impossible for him to sign for Miami when top clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester United are also going after him.</strong></p>

<p>Personally, I feel that James best option is Miami, as crazy as it sounds. But if I were to put myself in his shoes, considering the fact that he is constantly moving with his family every two years and hehasn’t had much playing time in the teams that he has played for in the past six years, why would I want to move to the <strong>English Premier League</strong> to either Arsenal or Manchester United, two struggling teams that have been trying to rebuild their squads for the past few seasons?</p>
<p>If he chooses Miami, he will be playing every week and his family will be in a city that I’m sure they would love, considering the fact that South Florida has a large Colombian community. It would be like home away from home for the Rodríguez family. <strong>Although he can still choose to play at the highest level in Europe, no team will assure him of secured playing time which is something that he really needs since the 2022 World Cup is just around the corner.</strong></p>

<p>I’ve followed James since the <strong>2014 World Cup in Brazil</strong>. I remember watching the<strong> Colombia vs Uruguay</strong> game in which James chested down a passed and turned and volleyed the ball into the back of the net. If I recall correctly, that was the goal of the tournament, at the point I knew that top teams would come knocking on his door the second the cup ended.</p>
<p>Unfortunately for James, the wrong team came knocking: <strong>Real Madrid</strong>, a team whose playing style doesn’t benefits him.<strong> The fast playing style of Real Madrid is the opposite of the “tiki taka” style of football that James plays with the Colombian national team</strong>. I always thought that he would have been more successful playing for<strong> Barcelona</strong> <strong>than Madrid.</strong> I can’t say that I was fully right because he never played for Barcelona, but I was right that he wasn’t successful at Madrid because of his lack playing time.</p>

<p><strong>Zinedine Zidane</strong> didn’t like his playing style, and Madrid loaned him to Munich, another team that plays extremely vertical, fast pace football, something that James finds a hard time getting used to. That’s why I don’t think that it would be a very good idea if James chose to play in the<strong> Premier League</strong>. If he found it difficult to get used to the pace of the<strong> Bundesliga</strong>, then he will find it even harder to get used to the fast, physical pace of the <strong>Premier League</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>If Miami were to sign James Rodríguez, he would be by far, the biggest signing in MLS history. </strong>He might not be the best signing ever when it comes to “football quality”, because players like <strong>Thierry Henry, David Beckham, David Villa, Frank Lampard </strong>and others are far better players and accomplished more than James has in his career. But the fact remains and James is still a world football star, only 28 years old, still at the peak of his career.</p>

<p>He would be considered the biggest signing in history, it would change MLS fame as a “retirement” league, which is something that MLS has been trying to change little by little in the past years especially when they brought<strong> Sebastian Giovinco to Toronto</strong>. The Italian Ace was also in his late 20’s when he moved to MLS from world class team<strong> Juventus</strong>, but he isn’t at the level of James Rodriguez when it comes to the level of football.</p>
<p><strong>Imagine if James came to Inter Miami, he would provide the team with at least 6 or 7 years of top football. </strong>He would accomplished what other world class players that have come to MLS didn’t accomplish, and that is, that he would help to build up the history of a team by playing more than five seasons in a top level and not retire after playing only two or three seasons in MLS.</p>

<p>From a marketing point of view, James would be an incredible signing for Miami. <strong>The large amount of Colombians living in Miami would be extremely happy to see their “number 10” playing in their backyard every weekend.</strong> Some might not be so happy because they would consider the level of MLS too low for James, but one thing is for sure, James will sell a whole lot of jerseys for the team, as well as tickets. <strong>Inter Miami has already sold their season tickets for their inaugural season, and it’s extremely difficult to find individual game tickets. The signing of James Rodríguez would make it even more difficult.</strong></p>
<p>For a fan, such as myself, the one and only reason why his signing would matter to me is that I know that he would bring a lot to the team with his football. I don’t care about the marketing aspect, as I mentioned before in <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/soccer/opinion-gonzalo-higuain-would-not-be-a-quality-signing-for-inter-miami-20200423-0001.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">my previous column</a>. <strong>What I want is a player that will provide the team with world class football for many seasons and not only two seasons.</strong></p>

<p>If this signing were to come true, it would benefit the team, the league and James. He would have stability with his family, he would be in a team in which he would be respected by his teammates, coaches and owners, something that he hasn’t had since arriving in Madrid. It would also benefit the <strong>Colombian national team</strong> because James would be playing every week and not sitting on a bench, no footballer wants to be sitting down on bench for an entire season. <strong>That wouldn’t be a problem in Miami.</strong></p>
<p>I read some comments from Inter Miami fans saying that we don’t need him in the team because we already have<strong> Rodolfo Pizarro </strong>as our number 10. My answer to that comment is that <strong>James or Pizarro are two world class players and can adapt to each other if they were to play together.</strong></p>

<p>In Madrid, James played out on the right<strong>, Luka Modric</strong> is their number 10. I’m sure James would be delighted to play as a false 9, someone who roams around wherever they like, kinda like what <strong>Lionel Messi does in Barcelona</strong>. Pizarro can still be the number 10, providing the strikers with passes to score goals.</p>
<p>Only time will tell where James will end up playing, but <strong>if he were to choose Miami over any other teams in Europe, it will mean a whole lot for the league and for Inter Miami.</strong> We, the fans, would welcome him with open arms. We would say: “Bienvenido a Miami, James!</p>

<p>Remember the<strong> Dallas Burn</strong>? I do. It was early 1995 when all the buzz started about a new soccer league and how Dallas was going to get a team. The <strong>1994 World Cup</strong> was still fresh on my mind, so I was excited to see what this new league would bring.</p>
<p><strong>I remember that first season in 1996, the Dallas Burn were playing at the Cotton Bowl at the old State Fairgrounds.</strong> The pregame inauguration ceremony had Univision reporters at the time, Fernando Fiore and Sofía Vergara, mingling with the crowd and partaking in the festivities. I remember they had this one skill challenge where you had to kick the ball through a hole on a goal net. Many people were just knuckle balling it over the nearby buildings.</p>
<p>The next day, a buddy and I went back to collect these balls that had been kicked up on roofs. I’m sure we broke the law that day, but we walked away with at least 6 or 7 official MLS soccer balls. I attended every home match that season and <strong>my love for FC Dallas was born</strong>.</p>
<h2>The time I stalked Jason Kreis</h2>

<p>During that initial Dallas Burn season, I was working dispatch for the local cable company.<strong> A new work order came across my desk for a “Jason Kries”.</strong> I immediately recognized the name and dialed his home number right away. His wife answered and I went through my courtesy call procedure before asking to speak to Jason. She was a bit shocked, of course, but handed the phone over to Jason anyway. I got nervous. <strong>I asked if this was Dallas Burn Jason Kreis. He said yes but sounded very confused. How could I say that I was a fan of something that hadn’t started yet?</strong></p>
<p>I explained that I had been following the news about our new team and that he was one of our star signings. <strong>I could hear his smile over the phone as he thanked me and how he was going to go out there and give it all on the pitch for the fans. </strong>Don’t really remember word for word but I do remember my nervous excitement. My friends still tease me to this day about stalking Jason Kreis.</p>

<p>In true fanatic fashion, I would attend Dallas Burn practice sessions. In the 90,000 seat Cotton Bowl, there were probably a handful of fanatics like me watching them practice on the daily. There were no security guards so after practice, I would just walk down to the field to meet the players.</p>
<p><strong>On Hugo Sánchez’s first day</strong>, I pushed my luck and walked near the locker rooms. As I was approaching, he was coming out. His wife and kids were there. I was starstruck! I shook his hand and met his family, then he asked if I could show them how to get back to the parking lot.<strong> I proudly escorted him and his family through the gates and out to their car. I thought, “no one is going to believe me!”. We were so lucky to have him and witness his iconic backflips after each goal.</strong></p>
<h2>Fast forward 26 year</h2>
<p>I have since moved up to Minnesota, but<strong> I still consider myself a loyal diehard of FC Dallas</strong>. I follow FC Dallas on Twitter, Facebook, IG, and their website so I am always up to date on all FCD news. <strong>I love that the National Soccer Hall of Fame decided to make our stadium their home as well.</strong> <strong>I love that we have one of the best academies in the country and give our kids more playing time than any other team in MLS.</strong></p>

<p><strong>It took a long time for the local team to make the jump to MLS, but I was thrilled when they finally did. </strong>This meant that I would be able to see my Hoops at least once a year. As a family, we try to visit Dallas as much as we can and if I can arrange our vacation to coordinate with a game in Frisco, then all the better.<strong> I know I will always be Dallas Till I Die and represent my love for the team anywhere and everywhere I go. <p>Looking back to 1996, when I first went to see the<strong> LA Galaxy</strong> play. The truth of it, I just went to watch them for the hype and check out this new league, the<strong> MLS</strong>. I have been a <strong>Club América (Mexico’s Liga MX)</strong> fan since I was born. Basically, in my family we were all fans of América so I grew up watching them play and cheering for them. So after watching Mexican soccer and European soccer, I didn’t think this league or this team called LA Galaxy would last at all.</p>
<p>I just thought it was going to be an exhibition.<strong> Granted the 1994 World Cup did give the MLS a push and a good hype.</strong> At this time, I was playing semi-pro on a travel team called <strong>American Outlaws</strong>. I played with good talented players. My sweeper or center back at the time was <strong>Jimmy Conrad </strong>and had other talented players from Nigeria and South America. But, this is not about me. I was just letting you know a little about me and my soccer knowledge.</p>

<p>The first ever LA Galaxy game was amazing! But, to be honest it was amazing due to the atmosphere and the celebration of soccer in America. <strong>I thought, at the time the game needed more creativity and the pace was too slow. However, it was a fun time for all the fans in LA. Cobi Jones and Jorge Campos </strong>were the stars of the monumental game. <strong>Mauricio Cienfuegos </strong>was a class on his own. Over all the night was something to remember. I have been a fan since that day. I never stop or doubt my team.<strong> Even after losing the final vs. DC United. I just knew this team was going to be one of the great ones.</strong></p>

<p>I have followed the Galaxy from Pasadena to the grand opening of the Home Depot stadium. Again another great moment in the Galaxy history. I was there rooting and cheering at this time I was 100% sold about the MLS and the LA Galaxy. <strong>I will never forget the first time the LA Galaxy lifted the MLS Cup! Carlos Ruiz scoring the winning goal. I screamed like a newborn baby and had goosebumps all over my body.</strong>I couldn’t believe after so many years of coming so close to finally raising the cup. It took me many years to become a season ticket holder but it wasn’t because of love for the team, it was more of the lack of money. However, I make sure and try to make a home game possible. I became a ticket holder in 2015.</p>

<p><strong>Then the world stars started coming in.</strong> Obviously there were some Mexican stars beside Campos that came into the MLS and LA Galaxy. We brought in <strong>Luis Hernández </strong>and <strong>Hermosillo</strong>, Mexican strikers. However, I felt these guys were stars in the Mexico league. Not really world stars. The Galaxy wanted more and wanted to be part of the elite clubs in the world. LA Galaxy decided to get the super stars starting with <strong>Landon Donovan</strong>, one of the best American soccer players. Even though he came from San Jose, we welcome Landon with open arms.<strong> He was the best of the US can offer at that time and he chose to come to the LA Galaxy. My team didn’t stop there.</strong></p>
<p>Then, the world turns their eyes into MLS for the first time. <strong>David Beckham came into the MLS and LA Galaxy. </strong>What a day that was I couldn’t keep eyes from the TV and couldn’t get enough info about him coming in. I remember the first game it was a media frenzy! The world was watching so did I from home glue into the television like a kid waiting for his favorite show.</p>

<p>I continue to be glued to the TV and any news wanting more from Beckham and the LA Galaxy. I knew then we were going to be the elite team.<strong> Then follow Keane, Steven Gerrard, Ashley Cole and Zlatan</strong>. However, I strongly feel that these guys do not define what the LA Galaxy is.<strong> I feel the fans, supporter groups and all the 11 players are what define what the LA Galaxy is. Superstars come and go. The heart and soul of the LA Galaxy team arethe fans, supporter groups, stadium and all the hard working staff from the Galaxy that made this team to be one of the greatest teams in the US.</strong></p>
<p><strong>We lead the teams with 5 MLS Cups</strong> and yes we had our down years. The 2017 season I believe was the worse one, while 2012 was the best team the LA Galaxy put together. But, again, the love for my team will never stop. As a fan I do complain, get angry and scream at the top of my lungs about my team. I have had tears and felt the disappointment of a season just like the players do.</p>

<p>I have been to all the derbies from <strong>California ‘clásico’, the Chivas and Galaxy ‘clásico’ and the best derby yet the LA Galaxy vs LAFC</strong>. I was there when LAFC was Zlatan.
