For Jacobs, losing was not part of his career plan. The two-time Pro Bowler admitted that, besides not winning games, the club wanted him to lower his salary expectations despite being the best offensive player on the roster.



“Then, the most frustrating thing about it all, you’ve got me, and Tae (Davante Adams) and Maxx (Crosby), you’ve got guys who come in every day and work hard, and you don’t get the results,” Jacobs said. “You’ll be close every year, but (we’re) not winning. You want me to come back on a discount and lose? I don’t know how I feel about that.”

Jacobs didn’t have a great 2023 season with the Raiders, but his 2022 campaign was outstanding. That year, he led the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL</a> in rushing yards with 1,653, added 400 receiving yards, and scored 12 touchdowns.

It’s just so special when you got a guy like Jordan Love back there, and you can’t really just load the box every play, and you make defenses decide what they want to stop. I think that’s going to be the biggest help for me this year.”

While many are concerned the lack of a clear No. 1 option at wide receiver to help the young quarterback, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/jordan-love">Love</a> doesn’t look worried at all. In fact, he suggested it’s even better for him not to have an undisputed WR1.



“I think you don’t have to have a No. 1 receiver,” Love said, via Pro Football Talk. “I think it works out well when you can spread the ball out and you got different guys making different plays and you can put ‘em in different areas. I think it puts a lot more stress on the defense and the calls that they can get in, so I think in the long run it helps us not having a No. 1 guy, a true No. 1 guy, but I think all those guys can step up and be the one any given day.”



Love has a fair point, but many will still find it hard to agree with the 25-year-old about this. Even so, the Packers’ front office will probably want to take note of the quarterback’s recent comments.

After all, he’s the one who leads the offense every week. And if for some reason Love believes things are better the way they are, the executives should trust him. And that’s where I think it falls off for Rodgers. However, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/davante-adams" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Davante Adams</a> wanted to take his talents to Sin City and reunite with his college friend, Derek Carr.



With Carr out of the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/las-vegas-raiders" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Las Vegas Raiders </a>and the team struggling, some speculated that he could force his way out of the team as well. Some even said he was a target for the New York Jets.



Adams shut down the rumors and doubled down on his commitment to the Raiders. Even so, that didn’t stop new Packers RB Josh Jacobs from trying to get him to Lambeau Field.



<h2>Josh Jacobs Tried To Bring Davante Adams Back To Green Bay</h2>



“I sent him the little eyes emoji. I said, ‘You thinking about coming back?’ But man, he loved it,” the veteran running back said, via Matt Schneidman of TheAthletic.com.

<h2>Adams Praises Jordan Love </h2>



This isn’t the first time that fans have dreamt about having Adams back on the team. A couple of weeks ago, he raved about Jordan Love and admitted that he would’ve liked to play with him:



“In hindsight, like we talked about, the kid is a fucking baller, man. I’m so happy for him,” Adams told Maxx Crosby on his podcast. “I haven’t had the chance to truly sit down and talk with him, but I want to tell him at some point ‘I definitely don’t regret changing, but I’m super proud of what you’ve done. If there was a way I could pull you over here and drag you with me that would have been cool too.’ Because, obviously, we saw what he did at the end of the year. I don’t regret what I did, but, at the same time, it’s definitely you look back on it like ‘damn that boy kind of balling right now.’”

Even so, Adams and Raiders players seem to be quite high on Antonio Pierce, and it doesn’t seem like he has any intention whatsoever of getting back to Wisconsin, at least for the time being.

“Yeah, it was very tough (losing Jones),” Love said. “Aaron Jones is such a special player. Special guy in this locker room since I’ve been here. Everyone loved Aaron, and it was very tough. It was one of those things that you can’t control. Obviously, getting Josh here has been awesome. Excited to see him on the field. He’s an awesome player. He’s been an awesome teammate so far. It’s been good getting to know him, and I’m excited to see what he can do this year.”

The Packers will now have one of the best and most underrated running backs in the game. Jacobs is an every-down kind of back who can make an impact regardless of the situation.



Jones, on the other hand, will look to get his revenge with the Minnesota Vikings. And while injuries have slowed him down over the past couple of years, he’s still one of the best backs in the game.

“I don’t really know what’s going on, but we’ll see,” Love told reporters Tuesday about his contract. “I’m not gonna get into too much contract stuff.”

When asked if he would play the 2024 NFL season, Love answered, “We’ll see. I don’t know yet. We’ll see.” Several players have sat out numerous games until getting a new contract, and Jordan could follow in their footsteps this year.
