“Man, he wasn’t supposed to tell nobody,” Daniels said about Nabers revealing the bet. “We got a little something going on. I mean, he put it out there, so it’s like I can’t say he cap.”



Keyshawn Johnson, host of the podcast, asked Daniels about the bet. The quarterback admitted that the wager for $10,000 is real, but he was clearly uncomfortable with the question.

“Going against him is gonna be fun,” Nabers said, via the New York Daily News. “We got a bet going for Rookie of the Year. Whoever loses gotta pay, I think it’s $10,000 cash.”



Nabers and Daniels were teammates at LSU. They are set to meet in at least two games in the upcoming season. However, this gamble could get them both banned from the NFL, as they are clearly violating the league’s gambling policy.

“I think it was just to be able to have fun,” Daniels said of the visit. “Honestly, I don’t think they were really looking at how the quarterbacks interacted with each other because only one of us is going to be there.”



More than that, Daniels cleared the air on the rumors about him not wanting to play in Maryland, adding that he’s just happy for the opportunity to play in the NFL:



“So, I think it was obviously [to] kind of switch it up from how people do other top-30 visits. Be able to just go out there, have fun and just be around people that you’re in the process with and not really worry too much about, ‘Oh, I have to remember this play,’ and stuff like that. I think it was more so just to have fun,” Daniels said. “Everything is good. I’m just happy to go wherever I’m going.”

The&nbsp;Washington Commanders&nbsp;were the only team without a head coach in the&nbsp;NFL and that spot is gone. The other vacancy left was filled on Wednesday when the&nbsp;Seattle Seahawks&nbsp;confirmed the arrival of&nbsp;Mike Macdonald, who was sensational as defensive coordinator of the&nbsp;Baltimore Ravens.



These were the franchises which announced new head coaches:&nbsp;Jerod Mayo (New England Patriots), Dave Canales (Carolina Panthers), Raheem Morris (Atlanta Falcons), Brian Callahan (Tennessee Titans), Mike Macdonald (Seattle Seahawks), Dan Quinn (Washington Commanders) and&nbsp;Jim Harbaugh (Los Angeles Chargers).

Furthermore, three teams confirmed major decisions about their current situation.&nbsp;Mike McCarthy&nbsp;will stay with the&nbsp;Dallas Cowboys, the Pittsburgh Steelers will extend Mike Tomlin’s contract and&nbsp;Antonio Pierce&nbsp;is no longer interim as he’ll take over the Raiders’ job permanently.

<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/bill-belichick">Bill Belichick</a>‘s departure from the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/new-england-patriots">New England Patriots</a> wasn’t exactly a surprise, since the team had a terrible campaign in 2023. What no one expected is to see so many teams pass up the opportunity to hire the six-time <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/super-bowl">Super Bowl</a> champion.



In the weeks prior to his exit from Foxborough, Belichick was linked to a number of teams, including with a possible move to Dallas if the Cowboys had another playoff collapse. The team did suffer an early elimination, but Jerry Jones decided to keep Mike McCarthy regardless.



The next team to be seriously mentioned as Belichick’s possible landing spot were the Falcons. However, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Atlanta ultimately opted to hire Rams’ defensive coordinator Raheem Morris to replace Arthur Smith. But how is it possible that a successful coach like Belichick is still without a team? Let’s take a look at three possible reasons.



<h2>3. Control</h2>



One of the few, but biggest complains about Belichick’s tenure in New England was his complete authority over the team’s football operations (especially in the post-Tom Brady era).

While praised for his coaching abilities that led to one of the greatest dynasties in sports history, Belichick’s decisions as the de facto general manager at Patriots in the last few years have often let a lot to be desired.

Belichick looked willing to give up that role in order to continue coaching the Patriots. Even so, since he worked for more than two decades without a GM by his side, many believe he could demand full control at a new team.



<h2>2. Lack of success without Tom Brady</h2>



Strange as it may sound, some dare to question Belichick’s accomplishments for one simple reason: Tom Brady was his quarterback in all those championships. And when Brady left, the Patriots looked like a completely different team.



After a year of transition with Cam Newton under center, Belichick gave the job to <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/mac-jones">Mac Jones</a> after drafting the Alabama product in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The team showed an improvement in his rookie year, making the playoffs for the first time since Brady’s departure. It wasn’t a deep run though, as the Bills claimed a comfortable win in the Wild Card round.



But the Patriots took many steps back in the next two seasons, failing to make the postseason while finishing both campaigns with a losing record. The trust Belichick had shown for Jones was lost in 2023, when he finished an already lost year with Bailey Zappe as starter. This lack of success led to Belichick being seriously questioned after decades of respect, and it eventually saw him leave the place where he had written history.

<h2>1. Age</h2>



It’s possible that, even with everything he won in his 20-plus tenure with the Patriots, Belichick has so far been overlooked due to his age. The 6x Super Bowl winner turns 72 in April, and while there shouldn’t be anything wrong with that, it looks like NFL teams are looking for younger coaches.



With Pete Carroll, 72, also parting with Seattle this year, Andy Reid (who turns 66 in March) has been left as the oldest active coach in the league at 65. The teams that had openings this offseason have mostly opted for younger coaches (except the Charges who hired Jim Harbaugh, 60), some of them relatively inexperienced at a head coaching position.

Before the Falcons hired Morris (47), the Raiders promoted Antonio Pierce (45) from interim to full-time head coach, the Panthers landed Bucs’ offensive coordinator Dave Canales (42), the Titans hired former Bengals’ OC Brian Callahan (39), and the Patriots promoted Jerod Mayo (37). Even though Belichick has shown what he’s capable of, it seems that many teams prefer to see what younger coaches can bring to the league. But there are still a few vacancies.



The Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders are the only teams looking for a head coach now, but Belichick has only interviewed with Atlanta so far. We’ll have to wait and see whether he gets one of these remaining opportunities, or if another team decides to make a coaching change.

But despite their struggles with Ryan Tannehill and their lack of playmakers on offense, Mike Vrabel’s tenure at the Music City should be considered successful. He made them perennial contenders in their division and turned them into a pesky and physical team no one wanted to face.



Under Vrabel, the Titans were a tough opponent to get past. He built a strong defense and a remarkable running attack, and you can tell he took a couple of pages from <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/bill-belichick" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bill Belichick’s</a> book to make bold and savvy decisions every now and then.



Then again, as it usually happens in this business, all good things eventually come to an end, and this won’t be the exception to that rule. The team has cut ties with Vrabel after six seasons, and he’s now free to sign with any other franchise.

<h2>NFL Rumors: Potential Teams For Mike Vrabel</h2>



Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long before Vrabel’s name immediately climbed its way up multiple teams’ shortlists. He’s a good coach and a rising star in that regard in the league, and he shouldn’t be out of a job. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the three most logical destinations for him.



<h2>3. Atlanta Falcons</h2>



The Atlanta Falcons have an elite running back in Bijan Robinson, and we already saw what Vrabel was able to do with Derrick Henry in Tennessee. They’re also not set at the QB position, but they’re in a prime position to make a trade in the offseason and solve that.



Atlanta seems like a natural fit for Vrabel, personnel and football-wise. They also play in the weakest division in the league, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see them turning into contenders overnight with the proper coaching after three years of Arthur Smith.



<h2>2. Washington Commanders</h2>



It was just a matter of time before the Washington Commanders showed Ron Rivera the door. His tenure in Maryland was a major disappointment, as the team couldn’t even keep up with the rest of its division despite boasting plenty of talent on both sides of the field.

The Commanders will now have a plethora of draft assets and money to spend, and the new ownership wants to make a statement right away. This team could be the most improved of the offseason, but they will also need a savvy coach leading the way.



<h2>1. New England Patriots</h2>



Mike Vrabel has always been tied to the New England Patriots. He was a member of the organization for eight seasons, becoming a fan favorite for his play on both sides of the field. Also, he’s one of the youngest branches of Bill Belichick’s coaching tree.



All signs point toward the Patriots parting ways with their lifelong coach. And while Jerrod Mayo was rumored to be Belichick’s heir apparent, that was before Vrabel became available. The return of the prodigal son could now be imminent in Foxboro.

With two suspensions under his belt and potentially looking at another one next season, there’s no reason to put his reputation in jeopardy any longer. Also, he just led the team to a National Champioship, and there’s no way to go any higher now.

So, with multiple job openings in the pros and a lot of well-documented interest in his services, it’s only natural to think that Harbaugh will go back to the place he should’ve never left. With that in mind, let’s take a look at his three likeliest destinations.

<h2>3. Las Vegas Raiders</h2>



Interim HC Antonio Pierce has done a solid job with the Las Vegas Raiders, and word around the league is that he has plenty of internal support to keep the job on a full-time basis.



Nonetheless, Mark Davis is also reportedly keeping tabs on Harbaugh’s availability and decision, as he would love to have someone with experience leading the way. They’ve messed up way too many times, and they cannot afford another mistake.



<h2>2. New England Patriots</h2>



The New England Patriots still need to figure out what to do with Bill Belichick. Firing him should be out of the question, as it would be a terrible look. Then again, he might not want to get traded, as his next team would have to give up draft picks to get him.



Whatever the case, Belichick won’t be in Foxboro next season. Harbaugh comes with experience and a winning mindset to finally turn this culture around and get back to their winning ways.

The Washington Commanders finally parted ways with Ron Rivera, which is far from a surprise, all things considered. He failed to establish his defensive expertise there and the team never actually competed with the rest of the NFC East Division.
