As if things could not get more difficult for the Chicago Bears, they have, the team announced that head coach Matt Nagy has tested positive for COVID-19, and that the team will now be coached in the meantime by Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor. The Bears sit third in the NFC North and have a 3-4 record in the NFL season.

On Sunday, Nagy’s last game as coach before testing positive, the Bears were defeated by Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady 38-3. The Bears have lost three of their last four and on Sunday did it minus 4 players who were not available for the game due to being on a COVID-19 list.

The Chicago Bears will now enter a heightened state of protocol to avoid any further positive cases. Here are the Chicago Bears players who absent at the moment.

Along with head coach Matt Nagy, right tackle Elijah Wilkinson, rookie linebacker Caleb Johnson, tight end Jimmy Graham and edge rusher Robert Quinn are all absent and on a COVID-19 list. Coach Nagywill need to produce two negative tests in 24 hours to get back on the field.

Running back Damien Williams was the first on the list butreturned to action Sunday, and the above four mentioned players and coach are the team’s new listed players.The Bears will play the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday at home.
