Mike Tomlin takes a shot at Lamar Jackson as Steelers beat Ravens

It goes withoutsaying that Lamar Jackson is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now. The reigning MVP can do damage with his feet or his arm and not many defenses in the league can keep tabs on him.

However, Jackson has stumbled upon three enemies and situations he’s yet to come on top: Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ defensive front, and winning a playoff game.

While winning in the postseason isn’t for anybody and the Kansas City Chiefs have outplayed almost every team in the league over the past couple of years, it seems like the one who hurts Jackson the most is the Steelers’ defense, as he’s unable to make adjustments and they don’t give him any room to breathe at all.

Mike Tomlin Says The Steelers Don’t Fear Lamar Jackson.

“We have respect for him (Lamar Jackson) but we don’t fear him,” Tomlin said after his team hung on to an impressive 28-24 win on the road to continue as the only undefeated team in the National Football League after eight weeks of play.

More impressively, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ aggressive defense forced Lamar Jackson to turn the ball over a career-high 4 times, topping his previous career-high of 3 turnovers, also against the Steelers.

Thus far, Lamar Jackson has turned the ball over seven times in two career starts vs. the Steelers, while he’s only piled up 15 turnovers in 27 career starts vs. the rest of the teams in the league.

It’s pretty clear that the Steelers are for real this time and that are a legit Super Bowl contender. Their defense has shown up vs. some explosive offenses and Ben Roethlisberger is doing just enough to move the chains and put up points on the scoreboard. As for Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, they still have to prove that they can win when it matters the most.
