Tom Brady gets real about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' struggles

When Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers reached an agreement on a 2-year deal in the offseason, most people around the NFL thought that they’d be a lock to dominate the league from start to finish.

Brady had already left his mark in the NFL during his time with the New England Patriots but this time, he’d have an elite repertoire of weapons for the first time in years. Fast-forward to today, and he just hasn’t lived up to the expectations.

Tom has had his fair share of ups and downs throughout the season and, even though it’s a team sport, it feels like he’s the one to blame for all their losses, as most games have gone down to poor decision-making or execution.

That’s why the 43-year-old didn’t hesitate to call himself out after dropping yet another key matchup vs. the Los Angeles Rams. Apparently, he agrees with coach Bruce Arians and feels like he needs to be better:

“Our job is to get the job done. So there’s no excuses for when we don’t get it done. At the end of the day, that’s the reality of the sport. It’s a production-based business, and when you have opportunities like we had in those two games, it’s very disappointing when you don’t [succeed], especially when you’re the quarterback and the ball is in your hands. It’s something I have to do a better job of,” Brady said.

The Buccaneers currently have a 7-4 record and their playoff hopes are quite alive. They have the kind of roster to pull off a huge run in the postseason and even contend for a Super Bowl. Then again, it will all depend on whether Brady can go back to his former self or not.
