Tristan Jarry has been battling alongside the Pittsburgh Penguins over their last four games, all of which have ended in victory. Now riding a four-game winning streak, the team believes they are doing everything right to get the results they want, according to Jarry and head coach Mike Sullivan.

Following the Penguins’ latest win over the Devils, Jarry explained why things have been clicking for the team. “We’ve been playing a team game all over the ice,” he said, emphasizing the balance between offense and defense. “I think it’s been leading to our offense. When we’re playing good defense, it leads to offense and we’re getting chances.”

After dropping their first four NHL games in March, the Penguins have been unstoppable since March 9. One key factor has been their ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities. “We’re generating a lot of chances, and I think that’s helping our game,” Jarry added.

The home win over the Devils showcased their strong play at PPG Paints Arena. A commanding 7-3 victory marked an improvement from their 5-3 win over the St. Louis Blues on March 13, which had been their third straight win in the current streak.

Mike Sullivan Proud of His Players

Mike Sullivan knows the playoffs are out of reach this season, but that hasn’t stopped the team from playing at a high level. “I’m happy for the players. I think we’re battling, we’re competing hard,” he said. The Penguins currently sit eighth in the Wild Card standings with 66 points.

Even with no postseason hopes, Sullivan wants his players to keep pushing to finish the season strong. “We’re just going to take that game right in front of us and see where it takes us,” he said. Up next, the Penguins will face the Islanders and Blue Jackets at home.
