Itās been a little over two decades since the Syracuse Orange had Carmelo Anthony leading them to the national championship. Now, his son Kiyan will try to do the same.
Needless to say, that will be way easier said than done, and while heās a highly-touted prospect, heās not the same five-star phenom his old man was back in his heyday.
Even so, basketball isnāt the most important thing for the Anthonys, or at least not for Melo. Talking on his podcast, he got emotional and talked about how he hopes his son wants to be like him one day. Not as a hooper but as a man.

āThatās my first superhero. I want to be like my dad⦠So when itās time for them to look in the mirror and say, Do I, can I be this? Am I that? Am I on my way to being that? Or in my way to being better than that? Itās a self-check that you got to look in the mirror, and you want to say that. I want to be like my dad,ā Anthony said.

Of course, no oneās perfect, and fathers will always want their sons to do better than they, but even though Anthony had his fair share of controversies in the past, heās always been there for his son.
Basketball aside, thatās all anybody can ask from their father. Kiyan is just walking the first steps in his career, and itāll be interesting to see how he fares once itās all said and done.
