Arch Manning will start his first season as the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns, and many are already eagerly anticipating what he will showcase this year in NCAAF. His style of play has a main source of inspiration, and he made it clear that it’s neither Patrick Mahomes nor Aaron Rodgers.
In recent hours, news broke of a new deal struck by the talented Longhorns QB with the brand Vuori, and it was during an interview with them that Manning revealed who his main role model is at his position.
While one might think his main influence could have been a former Super Bowl champion like Mahomes with the Chiefs or Rodgers with the Packers, Manning confessed that the QB he draws daily inspiration from is Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen.
“I really like to watch Josh Allen,” the talented quarterback stated to the press. “He’s one of my biggest role models. I love the way he plays. I like the way he carries himself.”

Outside of the NFL, the QB also expressed being a huge admirer of none other than Bulls legend, Michael Jordan: “In other sports, I’d say it’s Michael Jordan, my dad loved him when I was growing up. They are the ultimate competitors, they have fun, and they stay true to themselves.”

Manning’s excitement for what’s to come
After Quinn Ewers declared himself eligible for the upcoming NFL Draft, the door swung wide open for Arch Manning to become the new leader of Steve Sarkisian’s team heading into the next season.
“Being able to play a little bit more, play in big games and just enjoy the ride, enjoy the process. The season’s long, but you get to get close to all your teammates and it’s something I’ll remember for the rest of my life,” the QB stated.
He also added: “I play a team sport, it’s not all about me. So doing whatever I can to help the team win and bring energy. I started playing football because I loved it, so I don’t want to lose that love. It’s all about just enjoying the time out there with my buddies, having a good time, and hopefully some success.”
The QB spoke about his passion for this sport
The Manning surname has built a significant legacy in this sport, and Arch is no exception. In a recent conversation with the press, he shared his main motivations for enjoying this journey in football.
“I loved being able to have fun and play with my friends. I love winning. So anytime you get the chance to compete, be in close games, it’s kind of what you live for. The most exciting thing is having shared success with your teammates. I think football teaches you a lot, and having success with 10 other guys on the field with you is a cool thing.”
