The World Series was just amazing. Two incredible teams giving it all gave us a final to remember. Unfortunately, one team had to lose and those were the Toronto Blue Jays. Their manager John Schneider was asked to describe the Los Angeles Dodgers after Game 7 and he was as concise as possible.
āTalented.ā That was the single-yet-powerful word Schneider used to describe the now-back-to-back MLB champions. In the final moments of his press conference, Schneider paid his respects to the Dodgers too.
āI donāt want to leave without saying congratulations to Dave and the Dodgers. Itās a hard-fought series. It sucks weāre not the last team standing. But to Dave and his staff and his team, congratulations,ā Schneider said. Good sport.
It was a game and series of inches
One game went to 18 innings, the Game 7 went to the 11th. These were as close as two teams can be in the MLB. Thatās what the World Series is all about. It was literally inches what separated these teams. The play below exemplifies it perfectly.
The Blue Jays must be hard on themselves right now. They were winning 4-2 at one point and it was a home game. Itās just the worst feeling possible for Blue Jays fans.
The Blue Jays have a good future
Max Scherzer stated that he wants to continue playing, so the Blue Jays might sign him again. After all, they trusted him to open Game 7. Other big names like Trey Yesavage, Kevin Gausman, Alejandro Kirk, and especially first base Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will all be back.
The Blue Jays are building something special and have to trust the roster they have. After all, getting to a World Series is a big thing, even if you lost it. They were in the brink of glory, now they have to double down.
