The Carolina Panthers will look to move past what happened in the previous NFL season. To achieve this, building their roster will be key to becoming a competitive team. Unfortunately for Bryce Young, a teammate with Super Bowl-winning experience is leaving for the Atlanta Falcons.

Jordan Fuller, a veteran safety who was a Vince Lombardi champion with Sean McVay’s Rams, has finally agreed to join Atlanta, bringing his talent to a direct rival in the NFC South.

The news was reported by NFL insider Tom Pelissero, who, through his X (formerly Twitter) account, provided more details about the arrival of the former Ohio State player to Raheem Morris’ team.

“Veteran safety Jordan Fuller is signing with the #Falcons, per source. Still only 27, Fuller has 55 career starts over five seasons with the #Rams and #Panthers. Now he reunites with his old L.A. DC Raheem Morris in Atlanta,” the insider reported via @TomPelissero.

The pinnacle of Fuller’s career

Jordan Fuller entered the NFL in 2020 after being selected in the draft by the Los Angeles Rams with the 199th pick in the sixth round. The safety came from the Ohio State Buckeyes.

It the beginning of 2022, Fuller tasted the ultimate glory after becoming a Super Bowl champion with his team. On that occasion, the Rams defeated Joe Burrow’s Bengals 23-20 at SoFi Stadium.

At that time, coach Sean McVay trusted Fuller’s talent to be his starting safety, a position he was competing for alongside Russ Yeast.

The reunion with Morris

While Fuller was showcasing his talent with the Rams, the person serving as the defensive coordinator on McVay’s staff at that time was the current Falcons head coach, Raheem Morris.

After a few years, both Morris and Fuller will reunite, this time in the NFC South, under the colors of the Atlanta Falcons.
