Cam Newton is the man of the hour in the NFL at this moment, even though it’s not for the best reasons. The 2020/21 New England Patriots starting quarterback starred in a very controversial moment with one teenager who tried to diss him at his own camp.

This young player tried to bring him down for being a free agent but that’s nothing Cam is worried about right now. In fact, he knows he’ll get another chance in the league sooner than later.

The 2015 MVP has somehow been linked with retirement in recent weeks and he’s not feeling any of that. It would be crazy to see him retiring at 31, just when he’s reaching the next level of maturity in the league.

Cam Newton says there aren’t 32 players better than him in the NFL and he’s not retiring

Talking on the I Am Athlete podcast, Super Cam revealed that he’s not even thinking about retiring at this moment. He knows it’ll be hard but he will have another chance in the NFL this next season.

ā€œI can’t go out like that. I hear all of that talk. My pride won’t allow me to do it. There aren’t 32 guys better than me.ā€

He’s ready to return after spending the last season with the New England Patriots, finishing the season with a 7-9 record. The experiment of Newton under Bill Belichick failed and now the franchise and the player will look for new challenges. Reflecting on his lone season in Foxborough, Newton said that they sent him a lot and he just had to figure things out to become a successful player at Gillette Stadium.

ā€œThey threw everything at me, but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. At the end of the day, you have to go through things in that type of manner, to show yourself that you can’t skip processes. I’d be the first person to tell you that I needed time.ā€

That didn’t happen and now Cam is a free agent, looking for a new franchise in the NFL. The QB market has been very moved this season and that could open a door for this man, who earned the NFL MVP award in 2015 when he led his Carolina Panthers to the Super Bowl 50.
