Jalen Hurts has one goal in mind ā getting back to the Super Bowl with his Philadelphia Eagles. And the good news for him is that one of his most important offensive weapons could be staying with the team to help him achieve that mission.
Dallas Goedert, the talented tight end for Nick Sirianniās squad, had been at the center of trade rumors leading up to the recent NFL Draft. But putting all speculation to rest, he is now expected to restructure his contract ā a move that would keep his talent in Philadelphia for the season ahead.
The news was confirmed by NFL insider Mike Garafolo, who shared further details about what lies ahead for the former South Dakota State standout and the Eagles via his official X account (formerly Twitter).
āThe #Eagles and TE Dallas Goedert have agreed to a reworked deal for this season, as @Jeff_McLane stated. The team had trade offers for Goedert during the draft. He was in the loop. Decided to remain with the team and selflessly restructured to try running it back,ā the insider reported via @MikeGarafolo.

Dallas Goedert #88 of the Philadelphia Eagles celebrates with Jalen Hurts #1 of the Philadelphia Eagles against the Green Bay Packers during the NFC Wild Card Playoff at Lincoln Financial Field on January 12, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Garafolo also added: āThe #Eagles had to allocate their money across the roster, so they entertained trade offers for Goedert, though they always kept the door open for his return. Coaches wanted him back. Goedert preferred to stay in Philly over other possible destinations that were presented.ā
