Dak Prescott will look to redeem himself after past seasons with disappointing results, and he hopes to make a strong impact this year alongside his Dallas Cowboys. In order to have the most competitive roster possible, Brian Schottenheimer and the front office made sure to secure the arrival of a key player from the Texas Longhorns offense, who played alongside Arch Manning and Quinn Ewers, coming from the 2025 NFL Draft.

The latest news reports the arrival of Jaydon Blue to the Cowboys, coming from the Longhorns. The running back, one of the most prominent players for Steve Sarkisian last season, was selected in the fifth round with the 149th overall pick.

Blue was one of the top performers on the field for the Longhorns, delivering strong performances whether playing alongside Quinn Ewers or the highly touted Manning. His impressive play led him to declare for the draft earlier this year, and now, his dream of making it to the NFL has finally come true.

In his final season, he appeared in all 15 games for the Longhorns, rushing for 730 yards and recording 42 receptions with 8 total touchdowns. He also made an impact through the air, racking up 368 receiving yards and finding the end zone 6 more times.

There’s no doubt Schottenheimer will have a key weapon in him, especially for an offense that’s been struggling for some time. Now, Dak Prescott has the perfect partner to help wreak havoc in opposing end zones.
