Nothing ever goes right for the New York Jets, or so it seems. After the failed Aaron Rodgers drama, they went to the market and signed Justin Fields. But if something can go wrong for this team, it would most likely go wrong. Hence, starting the training camp for the NFL season, Fields got injuredâŠ
However, in dark times, thereâs always a shed of light. While he didnât practice in full, Fields was still back in uniform. He suffered a dislocated finger and is considered day-to-day by the team. So it couldâve been way worse.
These are great news for Jets fans all around as theyâve been wondering what the offense will look with a dual-threat signal-caller. While Tyrod Taylor is one of the best backups in the NFL, he is a veteran and mature, but Fields brings a lot of dynamic to this offense.
Fields is not alone
While not a completely stacked roster, the Jets do have some big talent on their lines of duty. He will have a certified weapon at wide receiver with Garrett Wilson, who recently signed a massive contract extension with the team. Wilson has three years in the NFL, and he has surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in all of them. He is also coming off a career-high 7 touchdowns last year.

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (5) warms up before the game between the Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets on December 8, 2024 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fl.
At running back, Breece Hall is a difference-maker and he will add much speed and dynamism to the offense. He can also function as a pass-catcher on play-action and checkdowns. Hall is a very good weapon to have for Fields.

There is a new gem brewing
Training camp just started but one player is already making waves as a potential key figure on offense. That is rookie tight end Mason Taylor. Picked in the second round, Taylor has been balling out early on, making himself a man to watch as the team looks for new weapons to develop.
Taylor has a massive 6-6 frame and weighed in at 253 lbs for the team. He is also an LSU product, a program that has produced many of the top receivers in the NFL today. While he is a tight end and not a wideout, it seems like the pass-catching ability has translated very well to him.
