Josh Allen is enjoying a successful NFL career, and Joe Burrow is right there with him—both have proven themselves as elite quarterbacks. But one of the key figures who helped them reach that level is now working with a college QB who could be available in the 2026 NFL Draft.

That coach is Jordan Palmer, a well-respected quarterback developer known for working with top-tier talent. In addition to Allen and Burrow, Palmer has also trained Jaguars star Trevor Lawrence.

The latest QB he’s working with is Cade Klubnik, a high-upside Clemson product who’s using Palmer’s guidance to refine key areas of his game ahead of a big season. Klubnik is widely expected to be one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Why wasn’t Klubnik in the 2025 Draft?

Klubnik reportedly considered declaring for the 2025 Draft but ultimately chose to stay at Clemson. His goal? One more year of growth before going pro—just like Allen and Burrow did with the Bills and Bengals.

“First of all, I think I need another year to really develop and keep getting better,” Klubnik said on Field Talk. “I’ve got two years, really, under my belt starting and played some my freshman year. It’s that, I want to go get better, but I’m still hungry for what I know this program has. We’re gonna be bringing nine starters back on offense and probably seven or eight on defense. We’ve got a great thing coming back.”
