Josh Allen is entering the upcoming NFL season with one goal in mind: bringing the first Super Bowl title to Buffalo. After a disappointing end to last year’s campaign, the Bills have made several roster moves to stay competitive, including re-signing core contributors and bringing in fresh talent.

One notable addition is former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore. During his introductory press conference, Moore expressed excitement about starting a new chapter with the Bills. He also reflected on his previous stints with the New York Jets and Browns, offering insight into what held him back.

Moore pointed to quarterback instability as a major factor in his struggles with both franchises. Drafted in the second round by the Jets, he suggested that a lack of chemistry with his quarterbacks prevented him from showcasing his full potential.

It’s not just one thing… I’ve run into some QB trouble. I can’t throw the ball to myself,” Moore said. “If you have a great QB and he doesn’t have blockers, then he can’t throw the ball right either.”

“It’s really just an earn-it thing. In football, you can’t promise anything to anyone,” Moore said. “Throughout my career, I haven’t had many chances to work with a consistent quarterback. It feels like I’ve had five QBs every season. Now, playing with an MVP-level quarterback for a full year, I think it’s the best situation I’ve ever been in.

Moore also highlighted the team environment in Buffalo, comparing it to the close-knit atmosphere he experienced in college. “It’s a family organization. It brings back that college feel, and a lot of players, like me, miss that because everything becomes real life,” he said. With expectations running high, Moore could become a key asset for Allen as the Bills continue their pursuit of a Super Bowl title.

Moore open to expanded role in Bills offense

Looking ahead to the 2025 NFL season, Moore spoke about his potential impact in Sean McDermott’s evolving offense. While his primary role will be at receiver, the 24-year-old is open to contributing on special teams as well.

“I’d love to do that more,” Moore said of returning kicks. “With the rule changes, it’s more intriguing. One of my strengths is having the ball in my hands. Kick returns would definitely interest me.
