Lamar Jackson sends big warning to Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen before 2025 NFL season

Lamar Jackson is done waiting. After years of playoff heartbreak and criticism despite two MVPs, the Ravens star is making it clear: 2025 is personal. With Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and the AFC elite in his sights, Jackson just sent a message no one can ignore.

Lamar Jackson is more motivated than ever in his pursuit of a championship. After two painful playoff losses to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills in 2023 and 2024, the quarterback warned that they are ready to finally dominate the AFC.

ā€œWe’re going to bounce back. When we come back, I feel we’re going to have vengeance on our mind. I don’t think I get over any losses, to be honest. I got losses from youth football that still haunt me. I never get over a loss.ā€

The Ravens are favorites to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, but it seems inevitable that, to achieve that, Jackson will have to overcome major rivals like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, or Joe Burrow.

Have the Ravens won a Super Bowl with Lamar Jackson?

The Baltimore Ravens haven’t won a Super Bowl with Lamar Jackson, nor have they won the AFC during that seven-year span. Despite having two MVP awards, that remains the biggest criticism of the young quarterback.

In the last two seasons, turnovers have derailed the Ravens’ championship hopes. For example, last year against the Bills in the Divisional Round, there was an incredible fumble by Mark Andrews that changed everything and, of course, Lamar’s interception. However, the star QB believes that’s not the only reason for their failures.

ā€œNo. We still had a chance to win. You know, it’s football. Everything not going our way. Before it was like: ā€˜Oh, you can’t win a playoff game.’ We won a playoff game. We got to the AFC Championship two years ago. We just felt short two games last year. I believe we’ll be a lot better this year.ā€
