LeBron James is one of the greatest players in NBA history. Besides his superb basketball IQ and playmaking skills, his athleticism and durability are two of the reasons why he's been able to be that good for that long.

But, just like Allen Iverson, some believe that he could've been an even better football player. That's insane if you consider that he's a four-time MVP, four-time NBA champion, and a lock to become the league's all-time leading scorer.

James was a two-sports superstar during his days in high school and was the highest-ranked football player back in the day. Eventually, as you know by now, he turned his attention exclusively to the hardwood and became the first-overall pick.

LeBron Says Pete Carroll And Jerry Jones Offered Him Deals To Play In The NFL

But even after spending nearly a decade in the NBA, James had a shot to make an NFL roster. Apparently, the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks tried to sign him during the lockout season back in 2011:

“Jerry Jones offered me a contract also Pete Carrol did as well in Seattle during our lockout time,” James told the Manning brothers on ESPN’s Monday Night Football coverage. “It definitely got my blood flowing again, it got my mind raising again thinking about the game of football and being out there on Sundays. But we were able to get a deal done in the NBA and I was back on the court in no time but I definitely thought about it. I still have the jerseys too that Jerry and Pete sent me from 2011."

Some believe that James could've been a Hall of Famer tight end and, truth be told, he had the skill set to be at least a solid player. He was bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic, and could jump over pretty much everybody else on the gridiron. The rest of his team, however, wasn't that good:

"If I would’ve had a better quarterback in high school, I might’ve continued to play football. I took way too many hits," James jokingly said.

Who knows? leBron could've been just like Deion Sanders and play in two major leagues.  Maybe he would've been a better tight end than Tony Gonzalez, Shannon Sharpe, and Rob Gronkowski combined...
