Oh, itās Fantasy Football season! That means that some friendships are about to end, people are going to make up excuses, and chances are that the guy who doesnāt have a single clue of football ends up winning your league.
To prevent that, weāre going to talk about this weekās top waiver wire pickups, those guys that are somehow still free agents and that most casual fans slept on. That, my friend, is the key to winning in this business.
Weāve got plenty of interesting matchups on Sunday. Unfortunately, we canāt talk about every single team. So, without any further ado, letās take a look at the top 4 players you should pick up right now.
2021 NFL Fantasy: Waiver Wire Pickups For Week 2
QB: Jameis Winston ā New Orleans Saints

Ok, maybe itās time to start buying into the Jameis Winston hype? He was lights out against the Green Bay Packersā tough defense and we all know he can put up numbers in bunches, even if that doesnāt always translate into wins.
The New Orleans Saints will face a revamped defense in the Carolina Panthers and they donāt exactly have a lot of weapons, but an inspired Winston is capable of moving the chains ā for better or worse ā in a divisional matchup.
WR: Christian Kirk ā Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinalsā offense was firing at all cylinders during Week 1, and we donāt expect the so-called new-look Minnesota Vikingsā defense to stop them whatsoever, especially in their first home game of the season.
While DeAndre Hopkins may steal most of the headlines, Christian Kirk and Kyler Murray have developed plenty of rapport. He made the most of his 5 catches last week with 2 touchdowns, so pick him up as soon as you can.
RB: Elijah Mitchell ā San Francisco 49ers

If somehow, someway Elijah Mitchell is still up for grabs on your Fantasy league, then stop reading this and go grab him ASAP. Heās going to be the most picked-up player this week and for very, very good reasons.
The San Francisco 49ers just lost Raheem Mostert for the season and Elijah Mitchell ran for 100 yards in 19 carries and looks like heās far ahead ofJaMycal Hasty in Harbaughās depth chart.
TE: Jared Cook ā Los Angeles Chargers

Not many people trusted the veteran tight end to make an impact with the Los Angeles Chargers but guess what? Jared Cook will be a valuable asset throughout the whole season. Heās one of their most reliable pass-catchers and a perennial threat in the red zone.
Justin Herbert is THAT dude. He was able to move the chains against one of the leagueās fiercest defenses, so just imagine what heāll do to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2. Spoiler alert: Look what Gronk did to them in the season opener.
