The Philadelphia Eagles won the last Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs, but general manager Howie Roseman is not satisfied and wants more. That’s why the champions have been one of the most active teams before free agency.
The first move was giving Saquon Barkley a two-year, $41.2 million contract extension after his spectacular season helping Jalen Hurts. Additionally, although everything points to them letting Darius Slayton go, that doesn’t mean they can’t negotiate a new deal with the cornerback.
Now, the Eagles have made another big move by rewarding another key player who helped defeat Patrick Mahomes. Given this scenario, many experts believe a potential dynasty is being built in Philadelphia.
Did the Eagles resign Zack Baun?
Yes. The Eagles will re-sign Zack Baun to a three-year, $51 million contract. Additionally, the deal with the linebacker includes $34 million guaranteed. This way, Philadelphia prevents the star from receiving offers from other teams in free agency.
The team confirmed the move on their social media with a very special message. “The Bald Eagle is BACK. We’ve agreed to terms to sign Zack Baun to a three-year deal through 2027.”
