The main goal for the Buffalo Bills in the upcoming NFL season is clear: go as far as possible — and, why not, dream of reaching the Super Bowl. To achieve that, building a strong roster is key, and Josh Allen will now have a new teammate joining the squad, a player who previously lined up alongside CJ Stroud with the Houston Texans.
Defensive tackle Marcus Harris made headlines in recent hours after reaching an agreement to join the Bills in Orchard Park. From now on, he’ll be available to head coach Sean McDermott as the team prepares for what’s ahead. A former Auburn standout, Harris not only spent time with the Texans but also had a stint on the New England Patriots’ practice squad.
The news was shared through the official X account (formerly Twitter) of Bills Mafia: “We’ve signed DT Marcus Harris and released DT Devin Brandt-Epps.”
In the same announcement, the team also revealed its decision to release Devin Brandt-Epps, who will no longer be part of the coaching staff’s plans and will now have to seek a new opportunity for the upcoming season.

The Bills’ dominant defensive line
The Buffalo Bills have quietly built one of the most promising defensive line rotations in the league — a unit that could indirectly be key to Josh Allen having a breakout season. By dominating the line of scrimmage and keeping opposing offenses off balance, the defense gives the QB more time on the field and better field position to operate.
This offseason, the Bills made significant investments up front, adding five new defensive tackles. Among them are highly touted rookies TJ Sanders (2nd round) and Deone Walker (4th round), both expected to contribute early. The team also bolstered its depth with veteran Larry Ogunjobi, a former Steelers starter, and claimed Casey Rogers off waivers from the Giants, bringing both experience and upside to the group.
These new additions join a solid core that already includes DaQuan Jones, Ed Oliver, DeWayne Carter, and Zion Logue. Together, they form a deep and versatile defensive front capable of pressuring quarterbacks, stopping the run, and setting the tone physically — a formula that could help propel Buffalo deep into the NFL postseason.
