Tomlin has repeatedly stated that he believes many of his players are ready without needing to take the field in the preseason.

Who is injured with Steelers?
Mike Tomlin confirmed that Nick Herbig, Christian Kuntz, and Gareth Warren are injured following the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The most concerning case was Herbig, who left the game due to a hamstring issue, but according to the head coach, the linebacker should not have any problems.
āFrom a health standpoint, Christian Kuntz had a chest injury thatās being evaluated. Garreth Warren is being evaluated for a concussion and then weāve got some other bumps and bruises associated with play.ā
