Najee Harris harshly criticized Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers after the team decided not to extend his contract. The running back found a new opportunity with the Los Angeles Chargers.
“We just didn’t know anything on offense really. We didn’t have any identity. We had a young guy coming in at quarterback. I was young. The team was young. I really didn’t have nobody to almost learn from on the offensive side. The veteran guy on that team was like a two or three year vet (laughs). He’s still learning himself. I’m coming in and I’m just trying to look for people to pick their brain off of and it was just defensive guys.”
At the moment, the Steelers’ offense remains in a dangerous limbo, waiting for Aaron Rodgers to decide on his future. Otherwise, they would have to look for another option, such as Russell Wilson or Joe Flacco.
What did Najee Harris say about Steelers?
Najee Harris explained in an interview with KCAL that, just a few days after joining the Chargers, he realized there are many veterans to learn from. The running back had a very peculiar word to describe his years in Pittsburgh.
“Through my years I’ve learned a lot that, you know, I only learned first hand. I feel like here (Chargers) we’ve got lot of veterans that I could learn a lot of stuff from even at the quarterback position and the o-line position. It was interesting year there (in Pittsburgh). I’ll just say that.”
