In the 2023 NFL Draft, the Texans decided to select one of the best prospects of this year’s class. Even though some scouts were initially reluctant about C.J. Stroud, Houston trusted him, and he’s surpassing everyone’s expectations.
Stroud has had an amazing start of his NFL career. Despite losing his third game of the year, he managed to break an impressive rookie record, and he’s on pace to set the bar very high for whoever comes next.
C.J. Stroud still hasn’t experienced what it’s like to be intercepted
After five games of the 2023 season, C.J. Stroud has not thrown a single interception. The quarterback’s accuracy was something that worried scouts, but he’s proving them wrong.
During their matchup against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5, Stroud reached 177 pass attempts without an interception, becoming the best rookie to ever do it. He surpassed Dak Prescott, who had 176 pass attempts without a turnover in his first year with the Dallas Cowboys.
During this game, Stroud also surpassed other huge names such as Tua Tagovailoa (152) and Tom Brady (162). It seems like the Texans have finalluy found the franchise quarterback they were searching for years.
