<p>Chubb will also turn 30 this year, which for a running back means way passed his prime. While the Texans camp is happy with Chubb’s output this offseason, <strong>it’s simply unrealistic to think he can take the workhorse load by himself</strong>. Chubb had five carries for 25 yards in the offseason. </p>

<p>The third-now-second running back on the depth chart is Dameon Pierce, who is entering his fourth year. Pierce is one of the weirdest cases in the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL</a>. He had a stellar rookie season that saw him achieve 939 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games. Then, <strong>he lost his starting spot as he only started seven games the following season and zero games in 2024.</strong></p>



<p>At times, he got relegated to the special teams’ return unit. He only had one outing in preseason. Pierce got seven carries for 17 yards for a poor 2.4 yards per attempt. However, <strong>he will have to return to his rookie form if he wants to help the team.</strong></p>

Detroit will send the backups as they are playing to stay on the 53-man roster.</p>

That’s the <strong>Houston Texans</strong>‘ case, as they are surrounding the team with depth to help <strong>C.J. Stroud</strong> with a former <strong>Lamar Jackson</strong> teammate.</p>

<p>Maulet has played 8 years in the NFL. However, he’s repped some big-time jerseys. <strong>He is remembered from his time on the Pittsburgh Steelers and <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/baltimore-ravens" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Baltimore Ravens</a>.</strong> Now, he gets to play on the AFC South.</p>

<p>Maulet might not be a starter for this team, <strong>but he adds some much-needed depth. </strong>Last year, injuries derailed his season as he played only 3 games with the Ravens. However, he played 14 the year prior, making himself a constant player for <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/lamar-jackson" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lamar Jackson</a> and company.</p>

<p><strong>He joins safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson</strong> and cornerbacks Tremon Smith and Damon Arnette as the veteran players to strengthen the secondary. Out of them all, it’s Gardner-Johnson the one projected to be a starter, but <strong>the other ones might play key roles as part of the rotation.</strong></p>
