Philip Rivers is finishing his NFL career after 17 seasons in the league shared between the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers and the Indianapolis Colts, his last team in the competition after playing one season with them.
The Colts last played in the NFL Wildcard Round where the Josh Allen-led Buffalo Bills ended their season and the talented quarterback’s career, too. Now he’s decided to announce his retirement from the game after having a terrific tenure.
Rivers was one of the best quarterbacks of his generation and even though he didn’t win a ring, his talent and performance won’t ever be forgotten. That’s why everybody had something to say when he called it a career and decided to start a new chapter in his life.
NFL Twitter says goodbye to Philip Rivers with memes
The player released a statement where he announced his decision to leave the gridiron for good and everybody went crazy when he thanked his kids, nine in total. This was a very well-known fact about Rivers during his career but he couldn’t leave without fans delivering the best memes about him and his big family. Others made fun of him for not winning any ring while the rest paid their respect to a great quarterback.

Finessed he says haha. With the going rate of 40 Mil a year for an elite QB. Colts picked up a HOF QB for 20 mil that’s a steal. Talk about Finess Big Ben set to get paid 42 Mil next year. I hope Steelers pay that after how terrible he looked to end the year
