The Baltimore Ravens will look to be a serious contender once again in the 2025 NFL season, and to solidify their status as a top contender, they’ve added experienced coach Chuck Pagano to their staff. Serving as Senior Secondary Coach alongside John Harbaugh, the former Colts HC expressed his admiration for Kyle Hamilton‘s talent.

In a recent interview published on the official Baltimore Ravens social media @Ravens, Pagano did not hold back in praising the talented safety, whom he considers to be a great leader and communicator within the team.

“He’s an avatar, man. He’s a freak,” Pagano said. He’s unbelievable, his length, his speed, his size, his coverage for a safety, like he can cover slot receivers. It doesn’t matter who it is. Like there’s no panic when you watch him out there. It doesn’t matter if they got him at nickel, big nickel, safety, dime, from a mental standpoint, he knows all that. He’s a great communicator.”

The former Notre Dame Fighting Irish player, selected by the Ravens in the 2022 draft, is a two-time Pro Bowler and has gradually become a key piece in Harbaugh’s system. So far in his NFL career, he has totaled 250 tackles and an average of 7.0 sacks.

Since his arrival to the franchise, Kyle Hamilton has slowly become the silent hero of the team. While many focus on Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry doing their job on offense, the safety flawlessly handles his duties on the opposite side.

Undoubtedly, much is expected from him this upcoming season, with the sole goal being to reach the Super Bowl—and why not, to dream of winning it once again.

The Ravens set their sights on the draft

As the top prospects of College Football showcase their skills at the Combine, the Baltimore Ravens are closely monitoring the event, analyzing every detail to determine which player they can add to their roster in the short term.

According to CBS Sports writer Kyle Stackpole‘s projections, a likely addition is North Dakota State offensive lineman Grey Zabel, who could join John Harbaugh’s squad to further strengthen a unit that, at times, struggled throughout the season.

“The Ravens have a bunch of impending free agents along the offensive line, and Grey Zabel has played a bunch of different positions in his career (mostly left tackle at North Dakota State before moving inside during his breakout Senior Bowl performance),” Stackpole stated. “It would be a good problem to have for Baltimore, which could draft him and then figure out his best spot afterwards.

Although there’s still over a month until the 2025 NFL Draft, many are already beginning to assess where teams could strengthen their rosters. From Baltimore, one of the strongest options appears to be bolstering the offensive line.
