Comparisons between Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady will be part of the conversation for every NFL fan, especially now that the pair are set to clash in Super Bowl LV this Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the Kansas City Chiefs in a very entertaining game to define the champion of a tumultuous NFL season. This is the present against the past of the league and everybody has something to say about each one of these players.

Mahomes is expected to take over as the greatest of all time in a couple of years, replacing Brady as the best quarterback to ever do it in NFL history. Meanwhile, they have a date with glory this Sunday, trying to lead their squads to the promised land.

Terrell Owens says Pat Mahomes has had a better early career than Tom Brady

Hall of Famer Terrell Owens recently claimed that the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has had a better career than Tom Brady, at least in the early stages of it. The former wide receiver joined “Speak for Yourself” to talk about the upcoming game, making the comparison between Mahomes and Brady.

He explained that TB12 didn’t reach greatness until later in his career and on the other hand, Mahomes has been great since day one and he’s about to play in his second Super Bowl in three years.

“When you talk about what they’ve done in the infancy stage of their careers, Patrick Mahomes edges out Tom Brady because Brady didn’t become Tom Brady the great of all time that everybody is talking about right now until later on in his career,”

“You look at what Patrick Mahomes has done in the first couple of years of his career, and now this is his second Super Bowl.”

He also added that Brady isn’t the greatest of all time in his eyes, as he considers San Francisco 49ers legend Joe Montana as the greatest player to ever step foot on the NFL gridiron.

“So when you talk about the greatest in that aspect of it, I’m leaning more towards Patrick Mahomes. But obviously, the greatest of all time in conversation you have to throw Tom Brady in there.

“My greatest of all-time quarterback is Joe Montana. If you want to throw Tom right after that, you can do it, but greatest of all time for me is Joe Montana.”

This Sunday we’ll have the chance to find out who will reign as the GOAT when all is said and done. Mahomes will try to win his second straight Super Bowl in front of the Bucs while Brady will try to earn his 7th title, the first one with Tampa Bay.
