To say that the eyes of the world will be set at Gillette Stadium next Sunday night could be a bit of an understatement. For the first time since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tom Brady will visit Foxboro to meet the New England Patriots.

The legendary quarterback was a part of the Patriots organization for two decades. He helped them become the fearest dynasty in all football, building an unmatched résumé and a strong case for being considered the GOAT.

But his broken relationship with Bill Belichick and how they grew apart over the final years of his tenure in New England eventually led to his departure, which is why this game will carry such emotional weight.

Tom Brady Says His Game Vs. The Patriots Will Be Unique

Brady knows that this game will be one of a kind. Even if there's nothing real at stake but just another win in the regular season, coming back home after spending 20 years there will be very emotional:

“I know that locker room, I know that home locker room, I know that home tunnel, I know which way the wind blows, I know everything about that [place], Brady said, as quoted by ESPN's Jenna Laine. “I know the way it smells. I know what a night game’s like, I know what the fans are gonna sound like. So in some ways, that’ll be really unique. I’ve never had that experience going to, you know — it’ll be a first time for me being on the other sideline.

Brady Says It's Going To Be All Business

Even so, number 12 will approach this game as he usually does. While he appreciates the fans and cherishes the memories, he knows that Sunday night won't be the moment to reminisce on his career:

“I’m not going to necessarily reminisce. I don’t think this is the moment for that. I’ll have plenty of opportunities to reminisce about my football career — none of it, none of which I really care to do right now because I’m so much in the moment. I’m not going to be thinking about 20 years of history. I’m going to be thinking about one night of football, a Sunday night game coming off a really tough loss," the legendary quarterback said.

The Buccaneers are currently favored by 6 points on their trip to Foxboro. You know that both Brady and Belichick will do whatever it takes to win, so this will be must-watch television even for non-football fans out there.
