Travis Kelce publicly admitted that he would like to follow in Tom Brady’s footsteps when he retires from football. During a special appearance on the podcast Bussin’ With The Boys, the tight end said he’s ready to be on the booth.

“I want to see what calling a game feels like. I’ve always impersonated guys that call the games and stuff like that growing up. I thought it would always be fun. Player names, player names is where I would get ruined.”

Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will look to return to the Super Bowl in the 2025 season, but when the veteran retires, one of the big questions from fans is what his next career step will be. Television seems to be an attractive option, although Travis is already a phenomenon on social media.

Is Travis Kelce retiring from football?

Travis Kelce is not retiring from football and will play the final year of his contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Various reports indicate that he is in excellent physical shape at 35 years old.

However, 2026 remains a question mark. Depending on how things end with the Chiefs, Kelce could return for another season, but considering his value off the field and his relationship with Taylor Swift, everything points to him saying goodbye at that time.

Travis would likely earn more in retirement, especially due to his impact on social media. However, because of that same influence, several television networks could offer him a multi-million dollar contract as an analyst.
