US Open champion Emma Raducanu will be looking to win her first WTA 1000 title at Indian Wells 2021. The British, World No. 22, received a wild card to play at the BNP Paribas Open, her first tournament since lifting the trophy in New York. 

The 18 year-old won’t be the only attraction at Indian Wells. Actually, her projected journey to the final will be packed with two Grand Slams champions (Simona Halep and Iga Swiatek), and Top 10 rivals like Elina Svitolina.

Emma Raducanu’s first match at Indian Wells 2021 will be on Friday, October 8. She received a bye into the second round after she got the wildcard. Before that, she was due to take part in the qualifying but instead she got time to prepare herself. 

Who will Emma Raducanu face at Indian Wells?

The 18-year-old’s first match will be against world No 71 Maria Camila Osorio from Colombia or Aliaksandra Sasnovich, the Belarusian world No 100. If she advances, she then will play against Grand Slam champion and former world No 1 Simona Halep in the third round.
