According to a Washington Post article the Orioles spent less than $10 million on their roster during the offseason and it shows. <strong>The Orioles have a 6-13 record and are 3-7 in their last 10 games.</strong></p>
<p>Injuries to <strong>John Means, Chris Ellis, and Dean Kremer </strong>have not helped matters much. <p>The O’s best baseball came when they took 2 out of 3 from the Yankees in mid-April only to get blown away by the Bronx bombers early this week.</p>
<p>Nonetheless according to Camdenchat.com <strong>‘The Birds’ are throwing more strikes this season, among the league’s best at 64% strike percentage.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Bruce Zimmermann </strong>has improved tenfold for the team but defensively the Orioles are a mess and manager Brandon Hyde has been left looking for answers for a team that will need to turn Oriole Park into a place the team can win, at the moment the club has a 3-3 record at home.</p>
<p>With virtually no major investment on the horizon the club will need to rely on the continued improvement of their pitching and lone bright spots like <strong>Ryan Mountcastle.</strong></p>
<p>The Orioles have not had a winning season since 2016 and have been last in 4 of the last 5 seasons. All <strong>Brandon Hyde </strong>can do is to continue to improve his team from within, and the first place that has improved is pitching, at least statically, now defense is the next step. It could be worse; the Orioles could be the Cincinnati Reds.</p>

The Dodgers pitcher’s lawyer claims the woman,<em><strong> “fabricated allegations of sexual assault,” “pursued bogus criminal and civil actions,” “made false and malicious statements” and “generated a media blitz based on her lies” in an effort to “destroy”</strong></em> Bauer’s reputation as per an ESPN report.</p>
<p>The story has become extremely graphic in regard to what went on between the woman and Bauer in their intimacy. What happened after could very well help clear Bauer’s name if proven that <strong>the woman sent text messages to her friends where she “bragged about a payout” and altered key evidence.</strong></p>
<p>This is not the first time Bauer has been involved in a scandal like this, in 2021 a Washington Post investigation uncovered that<strong> a woman from Ohio also had filed a temporary order of protection in June 2020 against Bauer. </strong>The woman had accused Bauer of physical assault in 2017 and even claimed to have received death threats from the pitcher.</p>

Venezuelan star <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/mlb/The-20-Best-MLB-Players-of-the-Past-Decade-20200329-0001.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Miguel Cabrera</strong></a> headed into the game aiming<strong>to record the 3,000th hit in his <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/mlb/Top-25-most-dominating-MLB-hitters-of-the-decade-20200508-0002.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MLB career</a></strong>, an opportunity that the Yankees <strong>eventually deprived him of</strong>.</p>
<p>Miggy was heading to the plate in the bottom of the eighth inning aiming not only to achieve <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/mlb/albert-pujols-and-another-mlb-player-will-be-the-only-two-active-3000-hit-club-members-20220419-0046.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the milestone</a> but also to increase the Tigers’ lead. However, Yankees manager <strong>Aaron Boone</strong> <strong>intentionally walked him</strong>, preventing Cabrera from writing history and sparkingrage fromthe home crowd in the process.</p>
<p>Cabrera had previously missed three opportunities.When he was looking for a fourth chance, the Tigers had runners in second and third base as the Yankees were trailing by onewith <strong>Lucas Luetge</strong> <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/mlb/mlb-25-highest-paid-pitchers-in-2022-20220422-0006.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">on the mound</a>. <p>Aaron Boone, however, explained it had nothing to do with Cabrera potentially registering a3,000th hit. The Yankees manager said he <strong>decided to walk Cabrerabecause he simply preferredAustin Meadows to face Luetge.</strong></p>

<p>Call it karma or whatever you want, but Boone’s plan <strong>only made things worse</strong> for the Yankees. Meadows’ hit resulted in two runs that extended the Tigers’ lead to three and eventually <strong>sealed a shutout win</strong>.
