The Los Angeles Lakers aren’t having the best moment right now after losing a series of games and not looking like the team that won the NBA championship in the bubble last year. They have struggled to get the results and the alarms are set at the Staples Center.

LeBron James is trying to keep this team as a competitive one but things just don’t click for them. The King wants to win back-to-back championships but seeing the Lakers’ current level, the job seems very hard to carry out right now.

The absence of Anthony Davis has taken a toll on the team and it’s unclear how they will play until AD is back. Recently, fans criticized the Californians and one NBA analyst made a bold statement about the future of this franchise without The Brow on the court.

Shannon Sharpe says the Lakers won’t win their recent performances

Former NFL player-turned-analyst Shannon Sharpe took to Twitter to describe how bad things are for the Lakers right now, making it clear that if they can’t beat the struggling Washington Wizards without Anthony Davis, they have no chance at winning the title this season.

The purple and gold went against the capital team on Monday, losing against the Wizards, led by Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal. They allowed 78 points in the second half of the game, which didn’t sit well with fans.

They need to change something quickly or things will get more difficult for them. Tonight, they play against the Utah Jazz, the leaders of the Western Conference. A win against the Jazz would give them a boost to face the next games until the All-Star break. But, they need to improve their level and if they wait for AD to solve their problems, the Lakers will have a really hard time.
