Aaron Rodgers explains the Packers' offense red-hot start

The Green Bay Packers drew a lot of criticism in the offseason for not using their draft picks or cap space to surround Aaron Rodgers withmore weapons. However, so far, so good at the start of the 2020 NFL season.

Green Bay is sitting at a 3-0 record and have looked like one of the teams to beat in the league right now. Their defense has been solid once again but their offense has been firing at all cylinders after a year full of ups and downs.

Aaron Rodgers looks extra motivated this season, either because he’s playing with a chip on his shoulder after they traded up to draft Jordan Love in the first round or because Matt LaFleur’s offense has settled better in his second year in charge.

Aaron Rodgers Raves About The Team’s New Offense

If you were to ask the future Hall of Famer quarterback, he’d lean towards the second choice, as he recently lauded LaFleur’s work and playcalling, claiming the offense has looked way more comfortable this year:

“It wasn’t an explosion of offense, but the efficiency was really, really good… Just so much stress on the defense with guys flying and guys sliding and guys coming back on the other side. Again, I’ve said it a lot, but I just feel so much more comfortable in the offense this year. I think Matt has really settled into the rhythm of the play calling, and it’s made my job a lot easier,” Rodgers said after the game.

The Packers have scored 43, 42, and 37 points through the first three weeks of the season. Moreover, Rodgers has played on an MVP level with 71 completions (67.0% completion percentage) for 887 yards and 9 touchdowns without a single turnover.

More impressively, they’ve beaten two divisional rivals in the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions and one of the biggest candidates in the New Orleans Saints. Now, they’ll look to keep the momentum going on their Monday Night Football clash vs. the Atlanta Falcons’ shaky defense.
