Long before he even set foot on a college basketball court, Cooper Flagg was already the most talked-about prospect in the nation. Fast forward to today, and that hasnāt changed.
In his first ā and most likely lone ā season with the Duke Blue Devils, the young star has left averages of 19.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.2 blocks on 49.7% from the floor and 38.2% from three-point range.
Needless to say, any coach would be fortunate to have such an elite recruit. Nevertheless, as good a player as he is, Jon Scheyer believes his personality and maturity will lead him to stardom.
Jon Scheyer says Cooper Flagg is a great player but a better person
āYeah, I think the, the talent speaks for itself. Love coaching his talent,ā said Scheyer. āBut, Iāve loved coaching the person. You know, heās, heās all about the right stuff.ā

Scheyer was thankful for the opportunity to lead such a unique player. He raved about his ability to do a little bit of everything on the court, as well as his competitive fire:
āHe plays so hard, heās competitive, great teammate and, obviously, his ability is special. So, as a coach, it allows you to do a lot of different things because of his versatility. You know, heās guarding one through five. You know, thereās not really a matchup for him. If you double him, he passes it. If itās one-on-one, he scores it. He just has that feel for, when the gameās on the line or the game rises, heās going to do that himself,ā he continued.
