Brandon Nimmo offers confident claim about Mets’ playoff push

Just like other teams, the New York Mets are in a tough situation, but according to Brandon Nimmo, the team is likely to make one last push to keep their postseason hopes alive.

Brandon Nimmo hasn’t lost faith that the New York Mets can still make a run this year, especially in the face of heavy criticism for their poor results over the last 12 games, which are pushing them out of the divisional race.

Like his teammates, Nimmo knows they still have some time, but the days are passing quickly, and every loss could make things worse for the Mets. They currently stand at 63-55, placing them 5.5 games behind the Phillies.

“No, we can go on a run – we’ve still got time,” Nimmo said, trying to lift the team’s spirits. “It just takes putting it together, playing some good baseball. We’ve still got a shot, and this team has been known to go on runs.”

12 Horrific Games for the Mets

The last twelve MLB games have been a total disaster for the Mets. They’ve managed to win just one, and a seven-game losing streak has put them in a truly dismal situation. The team was also recently swept by the Brewers.

Nimmo hasn’t been spared from the team’s poor performance. Over the last 12 games, he’s batting just .140 with a meager offensive output of 6-for-43, four runs, and no home runs. He is another Mets player who is struggling to contribute offensively.

Still Time for the Playoffs

As Nimmo says, the Mets still have time. Despite losing 11 recent games, they remain in second place in the NL East and are in a solid position to compete for a Wild Card spot. Their hope lies in turning things around before it’s too late.
