Kyrie Irving is back with the Brooklyn Nets after not playing with the team since January 6. The point guard has starred in some controversial moments in recent days, with fans calling him out for prioritizing partying with his family rather than playing with his team.

This situation escalated and the league fined the 2016 NBA champion and he had to forfeit a chunk of his salary after missing two games. Now he’s back and ready to play alongside Kevin Durant and James Harden for the first time this season.

Kyrie addressed the media for the first time today and he explained what went down for him and his decision to miss the last couple of games. He talked with teammates before doing so with reporters but fans weren’t having any of that.

NBA fans weren’t having any of that and they were quick to attack the player for “destroying” the team and bail on his teammates to go party.

Irving is ready to return to the court and take the world by storm with Durant and Harden. He’s expected to make his return this Wednesday night when the Brooklyn Nets face the Cleveland Cavaliers. That will be the first time the new Nets Big 3 will be taking the court this campaign.
