The Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott have been going back-and-forth on their negotiations for a contract extension since before the start of the 2019 NFL season. Dak decided to bet on himself and prove he's worthy of a big payday, while Jerry Jones doesn't seem to feel that way.

Prescott has constantly turned down the Cowboys' very lucrative offers as he believes he should get the same kind of deal that Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, or Russell Wilson signed, even though he's yet to prove that he can play at their level.

That's why Jerry Jones has never doubted to throw light jabs at him whenever he's got a chance to do so, and after the Cowboys dropped a thriller vs. the Seattle Seahawks after an interception, the businessman wasn't going to be silenced.

Jerry Jones Doesn't Think Dak Prescott Is On Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes' Level

So, when Jones was asked about if he saw a major gap in both quarterbacks and teams, he didn't hesitate to say yes, something that's definitely not going to suit well with his contract negotiations with Prescott:

“Yes. I see a team that is clicking. They’re the Super Bowl champs, and they look like they got better … And, obviously, with their quarterback, who is, I think, at the highest level right now because, frankly, as much as just as his natural ability to make plays, his mobility. This guy’s very quick and elusive and can get in and out of situations with his feet and buy time," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan.

Jerry Jones went on to say that Mahomes, Wilson, and even Tony Romo are the kinds of quarterbacks you'd want because they can buy time with their feet in contrast to what Prescott did vs. the Seahawks:

"Well, these guys have that ability, a lot. They are very quick footed, and they have the unique ability to possibly take their eyes away from the field for a minute and then immediately focus back and see. Romo had that…So those are things that show up, and that’s what you want. These guys, they’re buying time with their feet, they’re buying time with their instincts and their feet," Jones concluded.

Jones never says anything out of the blue. He's always playing chess. He knows Prescott's camp is listening and he wants them to know how he feels about him. It seems like this contract negotiations aren't going to end any time soon.
