Kansas City Chiefs are entering the 2021 NFL playoffs as one of the favorite teams to win it all this season. Andy Reid, Pat Mahomes and co. are ready to beat everybody once again and win their second straight Super Bowl.

The job won’t be easy as everybody will try to stop them but the Chiefs are confident they can get the job done. However, there are some people worrying about the type of team the Chiefs will be after their bye week.

As the No. 1 seed, they won’t play the first week of the playoffs and former NFL star Marcellus Wiley believes that could be a problem for the team. Wiley isn’t that convinced that the Chiefs will have an easy route to the Super Bowl.

Former NFL player says the Chiefs would be eliminated in the first round of the playoffs

During a recent edition of Speak For Yourself, Wiley revealed his real thoughts about the Chiefs and claimed it wouldn’t be a surprise for him if the Chiefs somehow lose in their first game of the postseason.

“If you’re the Kansas City Chiefs right now, I would not be shocked if this team after the bye week was one and done in the playoffs…Are there some warning signs that the Chiefs potentially could find themselves in a bad situation and the losing effort in the playoffs? Last year we saw them struggle through the playoffs down 10, down 10, down 24 but prevail, because they were the hunter, but now that they’re a hunted, and they’re still playing with fire, how are you so confident that they will prevail in these same situations?” Wiley said on the show.

Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the guys will try to prevent that at any cost. The Chiefs will have a rough path to the big game but they are still seen as the favorites to play in February. We’ve seen how other No. 1 seeds were eliminated after a bye week, so that wouldn’t be a complete shock for the fans.

However, this team, with their great players and all the expectations around them should make at least the AFC Championship game. Otherwise, it would be considered a bad season for Kansas City.
