Week 2 saw how the Minnesota Vikings running back, Aaron Jones, suffered a hamstring injury that ended up sidelining him for five weeks. Now, he appears as questionable for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Jones will play tonight. However, it’s still up in the air if he will be on a pitch count or not. Still, just having him back is great news for the Vikings.
Having said that, before he went down, the backfield was working as a committee between Jones and Jordan Mason. The running game is key for this offense as the Vikings are working with an erratic quarterback in Carson Wentz.
Jordan Mason is has done the best he can, but they need more
Jordan Mason has 380 rushing yards and four touchdowns. He is averaging 4.5 yards per carry. The Vikings need Jones back to make this committee a very dangerous one.

Jordan Mason #27 of the Minnesota Vikings
With Kevin O’Connell being an absolute mastermind on offense, he knows that the Vikings need a rushing offense if they want success this season. They need to really rely on their backs and hide Wentz.
The Vikings have a tough schedule
They face the Chargers and then they face the Lions, a direct opponent in the AFC North. Then they host a desperate Ravens team and a frisky, divisional rival like the Chicago Bears.
Following that, consecuitve visits to Lambeau Field in Green Bay and Lumen Field in Seattle. In fact, there are arguably no easy games for the Vikings from now until the end of the season. They need plenty of output from their running backs.
