The Kansas City Chiefs are still a big favorite to defend their NFL title next February, even more after beating the Cleveland Browns the way they did over the weekend. This team is ready to keep their good pace in the league but the challenge will be hard when they face the Buffalo Bills this Sunday.

They suffered the loss of Patrick Mahomes against the Browns. The talented quarterback had to leave the game under concussion protocol and it’s still unclear if he will play this Sunday. According to recent rumors, it’s likely that he plays but that’s not official yet.

Moreover, the current Super Bowl champions could have two more stars returning this weekend as they’ll try to beat Josh Allen and co. in one of the highest-anticipated AFC Championship Games in recent years.

Kansas City Chiefs could have three offensive players back this Sunday

Good news for the Chiefs and their fans and that not only Mahomes could return this weekend but two more players that were very helpful for them during the 2020 NFL regular season. Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star reports that all Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Patrick Mahomes, and Sammy Watkins practiced Wednesday, giving hope to the team to see the trio taking the field next Sunday.

Mahomes’ situation is still developing and it’s not 100% sure that he will play this Sunday. Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been absent since Week 15 of the regular season after he hurt his hip and ankle. During his absence, Darrell Williams has been the leading rusher for the Chiefs.

As for Watkins, he hasn’t played since Week 16 after suffering a calf injury against the Atlanta Falcons. These three could be making a return this Sunday to try to beat the Buffalo Bills in a very entertaining duel to define the champion of the AFC. They know the Bills are a hard team to beat and they’ll need as much firepower as they can get for that game.
