Good news for the Chiefs and their fans and that not only Mahomes could return this weekend but two more players that were very helpful for them during the 2020 NFL regular season. Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star reports that all Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Patrick Mahomes, and Sammy Watkins practiced Wednesday, giving hope to the team to see the trio taking the field next Sunday.
Mahomesâ situation is still developing and itâs not 100% sure that he will play this Sunday. Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been absent since Week 15 of the regular season after he hurt his hip and ankle. During his absence, Darrell Williams has been the leading rusher for the Chiefs.
As for Watkins, he hasnât played since Week 16 after suffering a calf injury against the Atlanta Falcons. These three could be making a return this Sunday to try to beat the Buffalo Bills in a very entertaining duel to define the champion of the AFC. They know the Bills are a hard team to beat and theyâll need as much firepower as they can get for that game.
