Aaron Rodgers already has an initial diagnosis for his left wrist injury in something that could define the course of the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2025 season.

Aaron Rodgers suffered a wrist injury during the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals. According to an initial report by Tom Pelissero, the veteran quarterback could be back soon.

ā€œSteelers QB Aaron Rodgers will undergo more tests Monday on his left wrist, but the initial belief is it’s nothing long term, sources tell me and Ian Rapoport. X-rays at the stadium showed a small fracture. They won’t know more until further scans.ā€

The Steelers have a 6-4 record, and a few months ago, when the quarterback was released by the Jets, they made a big effort to sign Rodgers as the key piece to compete for the Super Bowl. Although the images in the second quarter were concerning for his wrist, it seems that Rodgers does not have a season-ending injury. Ian Rapoport also confirmed that possible recovery diagnosis. ā€œAaron Rodgers has indicated to people close to him that he’ll be back soon. Initial testing would support that, but more coming.ā€

How serious is Aaron Rodgers’ injury?

Aaron Rodgers’ injury in his left wrist might not be as serious as it initially seemed. In another report, Adam Schefter confirmed that the quarterback will likely miss the game against the Chicago Bears, but it doesn’t appear to be something that would keep him out for the rest of the year.

ā€œThe initial concern is that Aaron Rodgers has, in the words of one source, ā€˜a slight break’ his left wrist, but the Steelers quarterback will undergo further testing Monday to determine the full extent of the injury and how long he’ll be sidelined, per league sources. It now is shaping up to be Steelers QB Mason Rudolph vs. the Bears next week.ā€
