Ben Roethlisberger maintains a very critical stance toward the Pittsburgh Steelers after another disappointing season. The former quarterback spoke in his podcast Footbahlin about Art Rooney IIās statements, in which the owner said there would be āa couple of changes,ā but not āwholesaleā changes.
āTo me that feels like youāre happy with what you have, youāre just not happy with how what you have is performing. Again, I donāt know what changes are you making. I feel like when those kind of things are said, itās like, ok, weāre not getting rid of the big dog, weāre not getting of the coordinators, but thereās always got to be a scapegoat somewhere.ā
Roethlisberger, who won the Super Bowl twice with the Steelers, even went further and took a risk by naming someone who could lose their job in the series of changes promised by Rooney.
What is Mike Tomlinās future?
Mike Tomlin will remain as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but after hearing the words of owner Art Rooney II, Ben Roethlisberger hinted at who could leave the team as the potential scapegoat.
āThat scapegoat is going to end up being like, I hope not, Danny Smith, the special teams coach, which I donāt know how you could because their special teams were unbelievable this year, or itās like, running back coach, tight ends coach, offensive line coach. Thereās always someone. Itās like, we have to put it on somebody.ā
