Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers are facing one of the most important games of the 2025 season when they host the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. A loss would open the door for the Ravens to catch up to them in the AFC North standings.

The black and gold team arrives with a sense of uncertainty, especially on offense, after the frustrating game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst performances of his career, and if they don’t score many points facing a terrible Bengals’ defense, the battle will be tough, as Joe Flacco is averaging over 30 points in his new era with Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase.

If the Steelers hope to stay alive on the road to the Super Bowl, they need to beat Cincinnati, as their schedule still includes matchups against the Chicago Bears, the Buffalo Bills, the Detroit Lions, and two games with the Baltimore Ravens.

Who got injured with Steelers?

The Pittsburgh Steelers head into one of the most pivotal games of the 2025 season with multiple injuries that could heavily impact their chances against the Cincinnati Bengals. On the defensive side, cornerback Darius Slay will be out with a concussion, and Cory Trice Jr. is listed as questionable with hamstring and knee issues. Linebacker Cole Holcomb is also sidelined due to illness, further straining the team’s defensive depth.

The most surprising absence, however, comes from linebacker Alex Highsmith. Highsmith, a key pass-rusher and a cornerstone of Pittsburgh’s defensive scheme, is out with a pectoral injury. His absence not only diminishes the team’s ability to pressure Joe Flacco, but also forces other players to step into critical roles on short notice. It will be Nick Herbig’s time to step up and make an impact for the Steelers’ defense.

On offense, the Steelers face uncertainty as well, with guard Isaac Seumalo listed as questionable due to a pectoral injury. Aaron Rodgers needs all the help he can get on the offensive line after being constantly pressured in the game against the Chargers.
