Saints general manager Mickey Loomis recently confirmed that Carr will remain with the team and expressed confidence in what the veteran quarterback can bring to the table. “I think we feel like we’ve got a guy we can win with,” Loomis said, via Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com.
Can the Saints move on from Derek Carr?
While new head coach Kellen Moore has not officially named Carr the Week 1 starter, reports indicate that he will retain the role. Entering the third year of his contract, the Saints still have faith in him.
