Shedeur Sanders suffered an injury during training camp with the Cleveland Browns. The information was confirmed by a report from Adam Schefter and, at least initially, it does not appear to be serious for the rookie quarterback.
âCleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders suffered an oblique injury while throwing during the early portion of practice today, and was held out for the rest of the session.â
Sanders had a great performance in the first preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, but surprisingly, head coach Kevin Stefanski keeps him at the No. 4 spot on the depth chart behind Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel.
Did Shedeur Sanders get injured?
Yes. Shedeur Sanders got injured during Wednesdayâs joint practice between the Cleveland Browns and the Philadelphia Eagles. In fact, after Schefterâs report, the team made an official announcement about the situation.
âQB Shedeur Sanders injured his oblique throwing early in drills in the joint practice against the Eagles on Wednesday, and was held out for the remainder of the practice. He remained on the field throughout practice, watching as the Browns ran through 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills against the Eagles.â
